Catholic Radio is a dynamic Catholic-based radio station established to serve the Diocese of St. John’s - Basseterre by providing rich programming for the spiritual upliftment, enjoyment and education of all people, race, religion and culture.
The brain child of former Bishop of the Diocese, Donald J. Reece, Catholic Radio is a non-profit entity owned and operated by the Catholic Church of the Diocese of St. John’s - Basseterre. The studio is located at Michael’s Mount in St. John’s, Antigua, headquarters of the Diocese. The other member islands are Barbuda, St. Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Anguilla and British Virgin Islands.
As part of its mission, the radio is used to bridge the geographical distance between the islands that make up the Diocese and provide general information about the Catholic faith in the region.
Programming on Catholic Radio includes live, music-based call-in or request programmes, live and recorded talk shows and broadcasts of Holy Mass, and other liturgical services and devotions. The programmes are hosted by Church volunteers and programming from all member islands is encouraged.
